Buzznet Update From Pete

as you may have read on other corners of the internet, we are going to play a show at a scientific colony in antartica on march 25. we are making this trip with greenpeace and will attempt to document some of the impacts of global warming. we will be bringing a certified recorder from guinness book of world records and will attempt to be the first band to play a concert on all seven continents. we will be bring a photographer and video equipment to document it....

we didnt want to release this news officially until we had squared the entire trip away as weather patterns and other factores make confirmation more than a few weeks out difficult, but this news was released on other websites - so we decided to give you the most accurate story. more info coming shortly.

SO, it’s saturday, and I feel amazing. I’m coming around. It’s up and down. Up and down. Finishing vocals on the new GCH record next week, couldn’t be more excited. I woke up last night to a room on fire, I won’t get into details but it was some scary shit. No one was harmed and it’s laughable now but I thought I was gonna die. Tyga video shoot tomorrow, should be interesting. At this point I currently: Miss NYC, Want a Chic Patty, Am listening to 90’s R&B courtesy Laila, trying to keep Hemmy from drooling on me and wishing my feet weren’t so cold.

I think that [info]indiemoistic said it best when she posted this comment; LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT.
He's flying to Antarctica (which requires a shitload of fuel), performing a rock concert to penguins (which requires energy for sound, lighting, etc) and then having a camera crew there to make it a documentary (which requires energy to the camera, uses resources for the production of the DVDs or whatever).

Seems ironic that he's coming up with the most energy-wasteful idea to bring awareness to global warming.

I agree completely.

In 3rd grade I learned about Antartica. I think it's permafrost, which means the snow is there all year round.

But still, I think the animals would be really scared, no matter how low it's gonna be xD

Am I completely out of my mind? I just wrote to the tour company about this. I just got a large bonus at work and should save it, but could conceivably spend it on this insanity. But then would I just be the crazy stalker chick who went to Antarctica with them?! Not sure if that's what I need...

This will 99.9& likely never leave my hard drive and enter reality, but still. Totally crazy.
